Rebate for Digicel customers
Digicel has advised that 4G mobile customers who were unable to use the Internet on Wednesday morning during the network outage, started receiving data rebates since Wednesday.

"Customers who were on data plans would have lost those hours during the outage, and so we want to give back those lost hours as part of how we ensure that in spite of the vandalism customers get value for their money," explained Senior Communications Manager at Digicel, Shelly-Ann Harris.

In addition to having the incidents fully investigated, Digicel has also indicated that measures will be put in place to prevent a reoccurrence.

"We are taking immediate steps to significantly enhance our secondary back-up resiliency," Harris said.
