Wanted men killed in confrontation

Two of Clarendon's most wanted men who were killed in a confrontation with police in the parish on Wednesday have been identified as Gavin Mason, otherwise called 'Cruise', and Dwight Mason, otherwise called 'Pele'.

It is reported that the men were shot in Bucknor, May Pen.

Both men were wanted in relation to multiple cases of murder, shooting, rape and robbery in the parish.

A woman, who has been identified as Tracy-Ann Butler, believed to have been the girlfriend of Mason, was also killed in the incident. The Independent Commission of Investigations is probing the incident.

Two firearms, a Beretta pistol and an Intratec sub-machine, were seized in the incident.

Head of Area Three Division, in which Clarendon falls, Assistant Commissioner of Police Derrick Knight, is cautioning citizens from securing their loved ones being sought by law enforcement officials.

He reiterated the call for suspects to peacefully surrender when confronted by members of the security forces.

The police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the body of a man that was found on Hagley Park Road, Kingston 11, on Monday, December 30.

It is of dark complexion, slim build and is about 170 centimetres (5 feet 7 inches) long and appears to be of Indian descent.

Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that about 1:30 p.m., residents stumbled upon the body and summoned them. On arrival of the lawmen, the body was seen clad in a dark coloured Polo shirt and jeans pants.
