Boxed for not dancing with man

Launtia Cuff, STAR Writer

Persaud Morgan yesterday pleaded not guilty to the charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm when he appeared before Resident Magistrate Sonia Wint-Blair in the Santa Cruz Resident Magistrate's Court.

It is alleged that on November 30, Morgan visited a bar in Comma Pen, where he approached a female patron and asked her to dance with him. When the woman refused, an argument developed, and Morgan assaulted her by slapping her in the face causing her jaw to be dislocated.

The case was set for trial on June 10.
