Thieves claim firearms in break-in

Three legal firearms are now in the hands of criminals after a daylight robbery yesterday at a house on Donhead Avenue off Hope Road in St Andrew, THE STAR understands.

Information reaching our news desk is that three occupants of the house were tied up, including the brother of former Health Minister and attorney-at-law, John Junor.

Reports from the St Andrew Central police are that thieves broke into the home and used duck tape to bind the mouths and hands of the occupants while removing items including appliances from the home.

THE STAR gathered that no one was injured during the incident.

A senior officer close to the investigation told THE STAR that the police have so far received leads into the incident.
