Ruffi-Ann gets attention with 'Careless Driving' video


Reggae artiste Ruffi-Ann is riding a wave of success with the video for her single, 'Careless Driving'.

"The video is getting a lot of love. everywhere I go, people are talking about it. I'm not surprised that it is getting such a good response. it's a very positive song. I knew the people would love the video because the storyline is very creative."

Careless Driving is the first single to be released from Ruffi-Ann's official debut album, Save the Juvenile, slated to be released early this year.

Ruffi-Ann is getting ready to release another single off the album.

"The next single that we plan to release from the album is a song called Drink and Smoke with Your Enemy, it will be released on the My Sugar Pan Production label. This song has a very serious message for the youths," said the artiste.

Ruffi-Ann recently delivered a sensational performance in New York City where she performed at Rep My City, held at the Marcus Garvey Center.

"I had a great time performing in New York. The people loved my performance. It was a very good vibes. The people really loved my performance. Every song I did got a good response."

According to Ruffi-Ann, she plans to take her career to new heights in 2014.

"I've been in the music biz over two decades. I've paid my dues. A lot of people knew me as Lady Shabba. That was my name when I just started my career. Now it's time to establish Ruffi-Ann. Good, positive lyrics - that's what the fans can expect from me now. Right now, it's all about hard work. I'm not easing up. I'm working to take my career all the way to the top."

Ruffi-Ann is also slated to return to Europe for a number of shows later this year.

"My management team is negotiating a tour of Europe for me. So far, they have confirmed a few shows. I'm really excited about going back to Europe. I performed at the Reggae Sundance festival in Netherlands last year, and it was a very good experience," she said.
