Flava Don set to release two singles

Fast-rising dancehall artiste Flava Don and his management team are beaming with optimism and excitement ahead of his soon-to-be-released single, Poor From Mi Born.

The song, produced by Jamie Robert's Young Vibez Production (YVP) Records, was recorded last year, but is expected to be released at the end of this month prompting the Spanish Town, St Catherine-based deejay into a deep feeling of satisfaction.

Flava Don, real name Michael Cole, will also release another track, We Spend, which was produced by Armzhouse Records' Maurice Linton. There are plans to shoot a music video for both songs.

The quick-thinking deejay who rose to prominence last year. He said he has high hopes for his latest studio efforts and has already planned an effective promotional campaign to aid the songs reach full potential.

"The songs are going to be a bombshell and we have the promotion planned to go behind it," he said.

His previous hit, Touch And Fret, brought the young deejay an overwhelming amount of success, but Flava Don believes his new tracks will eclipse such heights while conceding that nothing is granted.

"It would be great to surpass the levels achieved with Touch And Fret, but nothing is granted so I am very much prepared to work twice as hard," he said.

Despite the loss of his father, last year, Flava Don said the pain has been a source of inspiration as he surges towards carving out a better life, via music.

"The loss of my father really took a toll on me, even today. But am sure he'd want me to make the most from this opportunity we call music. I will continue to use his passing as a source of inspiration," he said.
