After a sizzling start with two episodes of the five combined auditions, the first live Show in the seventh season of Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall kicks off this Saturday, (January 25) at 76 Constant Spring Road in Kingston and live on TVJ at 9:30 p.m.

The Magnum stage will come alive with the first 14 contestants from Castle Red.

The show's three resident judges - Miss Kitty, Skatta Burrell and Professor Nuts - have selected the top-28 finalists from the five auditions held in December 2013, ensuring that the best talent from the auditions get to showcase their skills on the Magnum stage.

The 28 finalists will be grouped into two Castles: Castle Red and Castle Blue, each with 14 finalists: seven princes and seven princesses.

Keeping the format of the show's full dancehall content, the fierce weekly Fashion Segment will return along with the competition for the designers.

Each week, the show highlights a different designer with a different swag. The fashion designers (up-and-coming and veterans) all have different styles, all bringing their own creativity to the show.

After every live show, pictures from the featured designer's collection will be posted on the Magnum Kings and Queens Facebook page. When the 14 live shows are completed, an album will be created featuring all the designers with their collection. Fans will then be given the opportunity to vote for their favourite designer; the winner bagging the grand prize of $50,000.

Sophia Fairman, Wray and Nephew's group brand manager - Fortified Wines and Liqueurs, says Magnum Tonic Wine is excited to start the "lives" for the 7th season. "We are always excited when Magnum Kings & Queens' live shows start and we know the Jamaican audience is too. People in the streets are eager to see the crop of talent chosen this year and we plan to give them a good show. We are very grateful to the Jamaican people for their continued support for the number-one Dancehall show on TV, and Magnum Tonic Wine and the show's producer will continue to give the people what they want, how they want it: high energy entertainment."

She added, "This year is our Lucky 7 year, and Magnum Tonic Wine has a brand-new promotion: Win with Magnum Lucky 7. During Season 7, fans of the show can enter for a chance to win seven 32" Philips LED TVs to watch Magnum Kings and Queens in style. Prizes will be given away bi-weekly and fans can check our social media pages or the press for details on how to enter."

The first Live show for Season 7 of Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall will air this Saturday on TVJ at 9:30 p.m., and bringing it all together is host Yanique, the Curvaceous Diva who embodies the fluidity and energy of the dancehall culture.

This year, fans will be introduced to a new member of the MKQ family, Dayne 'Chike' Morrison, as the new host for Digicel's Di Endz, when that segment starts on the third Live show (February 8).
