Man charged for malicious destruction of property
A man accused of damaging items belonging to his sister was taken before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

Charged with malicious destruction of property is Tafari Redman, who pleaded not guilty.

The court heard that Redman allegedly damaged items belonging to the complainant, his sister, which included a refrigerator, a wall, a door, and a standing fan.

Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey asked the accused about his actions. He, however, told her that he only knew of damage to a standing fan, which he had subsequently replaced.

Observations made by the police in a statement proved contrary to Redman's response.

The judge subsequently ordered the matter to trial on March 11.
