Prince Levy wows fans with 'Take It Slow'

Reggae artiste, Prince Levy, has been wowing fans in the industry with his latest single, Take It Slow, a popular song that, like his name suggests, could propel him into the upper echelons of reggae music.

"The response has been phenomenal so far, especially since the video release. Fans have started to recognise me in the streets, and my social media pages on Facebook and Twitter have got a boost."

steady rotation

"I am really enjoying the response from the female fans on Twitter and the disc jockeys who have been showing me love on the radio," Prince Levy, who uses his real name as his stage monicker, said.

The video has been put in steady rotation on CVM, LINKS TV, SWAG, RE and HYPE TV. Prince Levy released the single earlier this month on iTunes, Google play and Amazon.Given the advance buzz around the single, the Take It Slow single may very well be his breakthrough project.

brash new sound

However, Prince Levy had already been consistently raising eyebrows with his brash new sound that melds reggae, dancehall and soul influences to create brilliant songs such as Deep Feelings and Likkle Ziggy, both of which have been receiving favourable airplay on FM radio. Prince Levy has established a decent underground following based on the growing popularity of these songs.

Last week, he performed at a recent RJR Round Robin party alongside fellow reggae artistes Jah Bouks and Nadine Sutherland at the RJR Sports Club. He also did interviews on Suzie Q's Video Alley, where he premiered his official video for Take It Slow. Fans can vote for the video on the countdown by going online and voting for it on Video Alley.

Prince Levy, who is also a budding entrepreneur, recently started his own music and photography studio. He can be contacted on Facebook at Prince Levy Music, and on Twitter @Prince_levy, or at 392-2346 for bookings.
