Police arrest two men on the most-wanted list

Detectives attached to the Kingston Eastern Police Division yesterday morning arrested two of the most wanted men in that division during an operation in Shooters Hill, Bull Bay, St Andrew.

A firearm was also seized during the operation.

Reports are that, about 1:55 a.m., the police were in the area when a premises was searched and the two men were found. An SLR assault rifle with a magazine was found in their possession.

The men, one of whom was wanted for the shooting of a seven-year-old child who was shot and injured in a church, were held. The other was wanted for the murder of 45-year-old Hubert Jackson, a welder of Bull Bay, St Andrew.

The identities of the men are being withheld pending further investigations.
