Jamaican killed in Trinidad

A man believed to be a Jamaican was killed while attempting to cross a highway in Trinidad on Wednesday.

According to the Trinidadian police, around 6:30 a.m, the man was struck down by a taxi while attempting to cross the northbound lane of the Solomon Hochoy Highway in the vicinity of the Gasparillo overpass.

The injured man was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Up to late yesterday, the Trinidadian police who are investigating say they are yet to confirm the man's identity.
