Blak Ryno

The streets have been buzzing about Blak Ryno's latest single, 'BMX Bicycle', a catchy singalong dancehall banger with a killer hook.

He performed the saucy song over the weekend during a stage show at the University of the West Indies where he got at least five forwards for his entertaining delivery. The song was recorded for former producer of the year, Markus Myrie, on his Markus Records label.

"The song will be mixed and released later this week. The first time I heard it, I knew it was a hit. This is the first song that I have done with Blak Ryno in over a year, so when he did the hook, mi just mek him record it same time because mi know that it shot," Myrie said.

Blak Ryno had previously recorded songs such as Bere Gal and Why Life Nuh Sweet for Markus Records.

He will be releasing videos for his latest single, I Am Blessed, later this week. He is also looking to establish his own label. He has returned to his former stomping ground, Father Romie Studios in Havendale.

"Throughout everything, me and Father Romie always keep the link, even from before Gaza, so the decision to use his studio was easy because I have made a lot of hits there and I have good chemistry there, so I am looking forward to great things," he mused.

The former member of Vybz Kartel's Portmore Empire said he will be launching his own group of young upcoming stars, walking in the footsteps of his former mentor, Adidja Palmer.

"I will be working with a couple of new artistes at the studios, a try buss dem. Ah Garrison Records to the world," he said.

He will be releasing a combination single with one of the first of the current roster of Garrison Records, 20 year-old Ashley Remy, later this week.

"Ashley is very talented. She has done a song, but she will be representing for Garrison Records in the future," he said.
