High hopes for Don Husky's 'On and On'

Don Husky

Since joining the Downsound camp more than a year ago Don Husky has steadily developed into a very powerful recording artiste.

The tough talking deejay, who hails from Collins Close in White Hall, one of Kinston's roughest inner-city communities, made his presence felt on the local music scene last year with a number singles such as Meditation, Knock It and Wah My Own.

"I made a bit of an impact last year with Meditation, it got some good airplay. The video for it also did well, it was number one on the Hit List for several weeks. It really did a lot to introduce Don Husky to the people all over the country," said the artiste.

Don Husky, real name Rushane Brown, is banking on his newly released single, On And On to bring him the success he desires. The single which is a takeoff of US rap star, Meek Mill's, Dreams & Nightmares is currently one of the hottest underground tracks in Jamaica.

"On And On is gaining a lot of traction with the youths in the streets, they like it because the flow is catchy and they can relate to the lyrics. I have a feeling it's going to be a summer anthem. When I performed it at Ninja Man"s Birthday Bash it received a big forward," said Don Husky.

He is also promoting another new single, Nuh One Gal, for Basic Records.
