Wife takes husband to court for assault

A wife, the complainant in a matter in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court against her husband, rejected an offer to attend mediation yesterday and said she is ready for trial.

Charged with assault is Asa Bailey, who pleaded not guilty.

When the matter was called up, the complainant rejected her husband's attorney's persuasion to attend mediation.

The court was told the dispute between Bailey and his wife arose out of a family argument.
