Benji Hype releases 'man dark'

United States-based dancehall artiste, Benji Hype, released his latest single, 'Man Dark', online last week.

The single, which appears on the Hashtag rhythm for 007 Records, will be available on a number of electronic platforms.

"I know that the single is going to do well among the teenagers who have been downloading the songs on their phones. Whenever I send out a tweet about the song, I get a lot of retweets and replies, so I know that they are feeling the Man Dark song for some reason," said Hype, who scored a major radio hit with Google Bad Mind late last year.

The deejay's new-found popularity was on show during his recent performance in Plowden, Manchester, where he got one of the biggest ovations for the night from young fans for Man Dark. He was forced to do the song twice as the teenagers sang it word for word.

"That was when I got the first real feedback on the popularity of Man Dark. I was really surprised at the forwards I got, just the way the young kids dem react to it, and after the show, a couple of them come up to me and tell me that the song is their ringtone on their phones," Benji Hype said.

There are plans to shoot a video for the single in the first week of March. He plans to do a press junket that will take him to several major radio stations in Florida beginning March 19.
