Montego Bay-based deejay Rickey Teetz has been confirmed as one of the artistes who will grace the stage for the second Rainforest Seafood Festival.

The event will blast off at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex in Montego Bay, St James, on Ash Wednesday, March 5. Other artistes slated to perform include Tarrus Riley, Busy Signal, Konshens, I-Octane, Etana, Kevin Downswell and John Holt.

"I know that over $6 million was raised by organisers from the inaugural Rainforest Seafood Festival and the funds were used to purchase equipment for the Cornwall Regional Hospital paediatric ward. This year, proceeds from the event will go to the We Care For Cornwall Regional Hospital to assist the hospital, and Rickey Teetz supports this move," he said.

The We Care For Cornwall Regional Hospital is an initiative launched in 2011 by a group of Montegonians concerned about the welfare of the facility which is located in St James.

Rickey Teetz has made a huge impact on the street dance scene and on FM radio with his latest release, Lighters Up. The song has racked up more than15,000 hits on YouTube and is getting regular rotation at street dances such as All Star Thursdays, Uptown Mondays and Mojito Mondays.

"We will be shooting a video which will be released the first week of March. Lighters Up has been doing well at events like Gallis Wednesdays, All Star Thursdays, Wappings Thursdays and Uptown Mondays; it ah get a natural forward," he said.

Rickey Teetz is known for singles such as Tip Yuh and 630 Walk. You can follow the artiste on Twitter @rickeyteetz.
