The streets are buzzing about Masicka's high-octane mixtape, the Sikk Tape, which features brilliant lyrics, witty metaphors and powerful hooks from the "youngest, baddest artiste" in the Dancehall game today.

"The response has been phenomenal to the mixtape, which is hosted by Konshens. Selectors have been linking him up in the streets, and he has been voicing a lot of dubs because of the response to the mixtape. The streets are feeling the Heaven and Story songs, while radio is loving Money combination with Konshens. We feel great about the direction of his career since he signed to SubKonshus," businessman Corey Todd, who is now managing the artiste, said.

Although Masicka grew up in Independence City, a section of a community known as Third World in Waterford has thrown their full support behind his career. Residents have painted a mural and a wall with the names of Masicka and Konshens as they signal their intent to join the SubKonshus movement. Masicka also did a photo shoot in the area last week.

"We have printed over 10,000 CDs and have started on a massive distribution campaign; we're going to go hard," Todd said.

Konshens gave him a major endorsement adding: "When I heard Masicka, it was clear he has lyrics in overload but just needed a little grooming on his hooks and delivery; so, once he masters that, sky is the limit."

Masicka believes the SubKonshus movement is perfect for him.

"In a short space of time, Konshens has showed me a lot in terms of my delivery and my hooks, and I plan to drop a lot of singles this year to show the world," he said.
