Roses in Bouquet, put on for the first time by the Romeo Spence-led Dream Chaser promotional group, was an affair which left most of its attendees in complete awe.

The event, held at Omega's Lawn in Waterhouse, St Andrew, got off to a fantastic start, but almost finished abruptly when police ordered an end just as things were about to go frantic. After much discussion with the promoters and cries of anguish from a rather determined-to-party set of patrons, the police complied and proceedings were resumed.

Prior to that mini-scare, DJ Bruk Bad and Billy Di Kid were already operating at full throttle, having gained the patrons' complete attention with their almost flawless song selections.

7CD Fantasy sound system's quartet of DJ Ruxie, Fire Ray, DJ X and Fire Biggs ensured that the patrons were rewarded for their determination.

Females sprawled around to the words of Alkaline's Bruk Out, Gage's Throat and Radijah's Walk like A Dog. Not to be left out, the 'high rollers' were duly recognised with Mavado's Million Dollar Man and Rick Ross' Hustle, while the 'gangsters' saluted songs like Vybz Kartel's Real Badman and Stop Gwan Like Yuh Tuff, which features Gaza Slim.

Patrons were not left disappointed and Spence, along with the other members Troy Tyrell, André Douglas, Odane Granville, Keyshawn Davis, Ojaye Mills and Romario Perry, were more than pleased with the outcome.

"Everything went the way we hoped for, and I want to big up everyone who turned out. We really appreciate the support," said Spence.
