Search continues for nine-y-o's body

The search continues for the body of a nine-year-old boy who drowned with his father on Saturday at the Robins Bay Beach in St Mary.

Information reaching our news desk is that residents recovered the body of 39-year-old Kevin Leamy, of a Conmel district address in Highgate, St Mary, however, his son, Raheem, has not been found.

Yesterday, the police's Corporate Communication Unit (CCU) confirmed reports that about 5:40 p.m. on Saturday, the boy and his father went to the beach.

Further reports are that the nine-year-old boy was swimming when he got into difficulties.

THE STAR gathered that the elder Leamy went into the water in an attempt to save his son's life but also got into difficulties and drowned due to strong currents.

The Islington police are investigating.
