Three prison escapees held
Three of the four prisoners who escaped from the Santa Cruz police lock-up in St Elizabeth on Saturday are back in custody.

Those recaptured are Entley Smith, 31, of Haughton district, who is charged with murder; Nicolas Mason, 21, of Elderslie district, who is charged with robbery and Elrado Turner, 22, of Burnt Ground district, who is charged with housebreaking.

Reports are that between 4:15 p.m., and 5:45 p.m. yesterday an operation was conducted in Haughton, St Elizabeth, where the men were nabbed in a house.

Ryan Thomas, 21, of Leeds district in the parish, who is charged with murder, remains at large.

According to the Santa Cruz police, during a routine check at the facility, it was discovered that the men escaped by cutting away a section of a grille.

The police are once again urging Thomas to turn himself in and are reminding family members and residents that it is an offence to harbour a criminal.
