Bail extended for accused handbag snatcher

A man accused of stealing a handbag, had his bail extended in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.

He is Eugene Matra, who pleaded not guilty.

The Crown alleges that, on September 26 of last year, approximately 3 p.m., Matra robbed the complainant of her handbag containing an undetermined sum of cash and credit cards.

The accused was held by lawmen and found with three credit cards bearing the name of the complainant.

Resident Magistrate Lorna Shelly-Williams ordered the man to return May 7 for trial.
