RebelRadioLink streams 'Weddy Weddy' live at Stone Love HQ

As Internet radio stations playing dancehall go, newcomer, RebelRadioLink, is one of the better offerings with a great slate of disc jockeys who play musical genres from all over the globe.

The slate of disc jocks includes DJ Taliban, DJ Andrew, DJ Rebel, DJ Shawn Bless, DJ Rizzle aka Short Gadd, DJ D5, DJ B Wize, and even an African disc jock, DJ Lenwah.

Recently, the station earned a major scoop when it was given the opportunity to stream the weekly Weddy Weddy dance at Stone Love HQ every Wednesday night between 9 p.m. and 2 a.m.

"We have seen a boost in the listenership with between 600 to 1,000 persons online during Weddy Weddy. Bill Cosby de a Canada and him tune in more time, and we have listeners from Ireland, Germany, and from Gutenberg in Sweden. Every Wednesday, there is a party at a café in Sweden during the Weddy Weddy broadcast. They have shots and beer and they party up a storm," Conrad DJ Rizzle aka 'Short Gadd' Williams said.

Recently, the station had a major rollout of its online radio app. The app works on apple and android phones.

"We had over 1,000 downloads of the app and more people are logging on every day," he said.

It is challenging to compete on Internet radio because of the proliferation of different sites, but RebelRadioLink has managed to carve out a niche for itself. DJ Rizzle, who got his Short Gadd name from dancehall star Delly Ranx, believes that RebelRadioLink has the potential to beat all comers.

"We love what we do," he said.
