The NuSociety, a group of five experienced promoters and entrepreneurs have joined efforts to produce a new multigenre retro themed party series called 80/20 - The Theory Revised: Where Less Is More.

The concept, whilst not new, is a fusion of music mixed seamlessly with 20 per cent 'new school' music from the 80s and 90s top 40 hits to reggae and Caribbean music favourites.

The 80/20 mantra of where less is more, will be in full effect at the launch tonight. The strict 'more music, less talk' policy will be governed by top-flight selectors Mix Master Marvin of FAME FM Retro Wednesdays, and co-pilot Flabba Dabba, one of the hottest selectors on the party scene, and patrons can expect a high-energy experience throughout the night.

According to promoters, "The NuSociety promises to deliver a quality event in a safe, secure environment, with ample parking and amenities, and as such, we will be hosting the event at the Overtime Club located on the third floor of the NHT Parking Lot, New Kingston."

Additionally, with the following day being Ash Wednesday, a public holiday, "we invite our patrons and supporters to come out early, bring your friends, partake in our bucket-deal specials on flasks and chasers and just hold a nice vibe for the whole night."

Ticket outlets and sponsors of the event are GymKhana, JoJo's Jerk Pit, ABar, The Pub Bar and Grill, Get It Couriers, and Cuddyz.

Tickets are $800 presold and ladies 2-4-1 before 12 a.m. Gates open at 9 p.m.
