Fingerprint order requested for rice snatcher

A man accused of stealing a parcel of rice from a supermarket stood defenceless in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

The Crown alleged that Carlington Sinclair, charged with simple larceny, walked into a Hi-Lo supermarket and stole one parcel of rice.

When asked by Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey if he had anything to say, the man responded: "I have two children, Your Honour,"

He was ordered to pay $3,000 or serve six months. A fingerprint order was also made.
