Smirnoff has announced its partnership as the exclusive vodka of Bacchanal Jamaica and title sponsor of Beach J'Ouvert.

Amped up and ready to go for tomorrow's (March 7) starting date, the Diageo brand promises new, spontaneous and fun-filled experiences for all patrons.

According to Jermaine Bibbons, brand manager, spirits, Smirnoff will be adding its own unique flavour, to the annual carnival event.

"Throughout the carnival season, Smirnoff will develop exciting Smirnoff cocktails formulated with all our fantastic and mixable flavours. The mixes will entice the palate and will be easy to replicate at home for your own enjoyment," said Bibbons.

"This year is particularly exciting for our brands as we are introducing a new element; the Smirnoff Queen Costume Competition. This contest will encourage new and up-and-coming designers to create a lead costume for the Smirnoff band in the carnival parade," Bibbons added.

Speaking at the launch held on Tuesday, February 18, Bibbons said that this would provide an excellent avenue through which young talent can showcase their creative genius. The Smirnoff band will feature the costumes, Muramatsu and Takeka.

As the premier brand of choice for many high-energy occasions, Smirnoff will lend its premium party repertoire to Bacchanal.

"Over the years, Smirnoff has partnered with many events which have set the standard on the party scene. The brand is known the world over for bringing innovative and original entertainment encounters to its events," Bibbons explained.

In addition to being the title sponsor of Beach J'Ouvert, which takes place on April 19, Smirnoff will host back-to-back nights at the Mas Camp during which its signature cocktails will take centre stage.

"We will unleash something new each week that will grab and enthral patrons," Bibbons ended.
