Unique Supermix Productions CEO Donovan Carter said everything is now in place for the upcoming Reggae Fever, slated to be held at the Puerto Seco Beach in Discovery Bay, St Ann.

"This (event) has been a long time in coming as we unfortunately had to postpone due to circumstances beyond our control, but we are ready and I promise it will be worth the wait," he said.

Foundation artistes Freddie McGregor and Cocoa Tea will be honoured by the promoter at its staging on Saturday, March 29.

"They have made their contributions to the music industry and maintained the standards throughout. Freddie McGregor celebrated 50 years in the business while his fellow musician has been racking up the years himself being a musical ambassador," Carter added.

Among the artistes who are slated to perform at Reggae Fever are Romain Virgo, Iba Mahr, Spice, Bounty Killer, I-Noah, Sugah, Alkaline, Charly Black, Mavino, Major Lloyd, Hitman Wally, Ikaya, Loyal Flames, and Dann-I, among others.

As usual, proceeds from the event will be benefiting an institution in the parish. This year, the school selected is the Discovery Bay All-Age School.

For the first time, viewers from around the world can follow the action on stage through its live stream on www.specialmix.ca.

Sponsors for the event include RJR Communications Group, John Swaby Lighting, Irie FM, Mello FM and A&E Ambulance.
