Tom Laing to release new projects

Tom Laing

New York-based reggae singer Tom Laing had a wonderful year in music in 2013, and he is gearing up for even greater success this year.

His hit single, Finally Free, was one of the biggest hits on the New York reggae scene last year. The single that was produced by veteran musician Donni Marshall also did well locally. It peaked at number one on several local charts, including the Jamaica Music Countdown Top 25 Reggae Singles Chart and the Pree Dis Top 10 Chart.

The video for Finally Free also went to number one on several video charts such as CVM TV's Hit List and HYPE TV's VTX Top 10 Countdown.

"I had a good run with Finally Free last year, it really helped to cement my name on the New York scene, and it also helped to increase my fan base in Jamaica. My follow up single called One More Thing is also doing well. I'm looking forward to building on this and taking my career to the next level."

Tom Laing is currently working on the completion of his debut album which is slated to be released later this year. He is also working on a number of soon-to-be released singles, including a remake of his previously released single titled Belly of the Beast, featuring Capleton.

musical treat

"The album is almost finished. So far we have recorded some very good songs for it. The fans are in for a musical treat, this album is going to be a very wonderful album. Before the album is released, I plan to drop some more singles. We are currently working on a remake of Belly of the Beast with Capleton, this is going to be a very big song," said Tom Laing.

Tom Laing recently topped the Jamaica Music Countdown with One More Thing. It also peaked at number four on the New York Reggae Charts and is currently number 16 on the South Florida Top 25 Reggae Singles Chart.
