ENTERTAINERS SHARE KARTEL'S PAIN - Says 'Worl Boss' has tough days ahead

Following Vybz Kartel's guilty verdict yesterday, several entertainers have sympathised with the artiste now that he faces up to 25 years in prison.

According to iconic deejay Ninja Man, it would have been difficult to win such a case given that the police force relied on every piece of technology it could get its hands on to get a guilty verdict.

"I feel a way about the situation because he is in such a position right now. The only problem I have with the decision is that my grandson (Vybz Kartel) is not going home with a smile tonight. This case is a historical case so I knew it would have been a hard task to beat it because if you notice, the police went all out to use every single piece of technology at their disposal. It was definitely not going to be an easy case to beat because the police also had their pride at stake," Ninja Man said.

Kartel's former road manager and designer, Calvin 'Moonie' Haye, was too stunned by the news to comment.

"Mi can't comment pon it right now," he said.

Producer Elvis Redwood and Gaza Slim's cell phones went straight to voicemail.

Reggae artiste Chuck Fenda was in a praying mood as he says Jah governs all. "It's a fellow entertainer so I feel a way, but we have no control over the law. I wish the best for him and his family. Is just Jah a di real Governor," the singer said.

reconnect with God

Popular DJ Foota Hype sympathised with Vybz Kartel's family citing that rough days are ahead.

"I know how it is right now. He is the bread winner for the family so now his family will have to cope with how they will survive. It is going to be a serious emotional and financial strain. As a human being, I wish this on nobody," he said. "Kartel will have to take this opportunity to find himself and reconnect with God and apologise to the Almighty as well as beg for forgiveness. I am not saying he has to become a Christian, but once he gets it right with the Almighty and don't size up, he will be better and may come out earlier than we expect," Foota Hype said in a sombre tone.
