Rud3 Music Releases Tafari's Rud3 Lov3 album

Dancehall artiste/rapper Tafari is set to release his debut album Rud3 Lov3 digitally today. The project is being released through Rud3 Music and distributed by VP Records.

The project features production work from the Rud3 Music label, Noah Mason as well as Grammy-winning producers Jermaine Reid and Jason Gilbert, Kamron Houff and Dennis Blaze.

In a release to the media, Tafari outlined what fans can expect from the project. "The album was a collective effort of creative people. It is a strong body of work consisting of infectious vibration with a variety of producers," said Tafari.

Rud3 Lov3 contains 11 tracks. It features collaborations with Tafari's father, veteran dancehall deejay Big Youth, his brother Isat, Ce'Cile and R&B singer/producer Jimmy Cozier.

Former Brick and Lace member Nyla is featured on the single I Want You (remix). The accompanying video for the track hit number one on CVM TV's Hit List countdown last week.

Describing the video clip, which was directed by Rona Cohen, Tafari noted, "The video is nothing but positive energy and an admiration of how beautiful and fun the video is. Much thanks to Rona Cohen for capturing the fun and sexiness in the song."

While airplay for the track locally has been moderate, Tafari is already planning on dropping follow-up singles. They include All She Wants Is Love and Make It Official, which features Isat.

The album Rud3 Lov3 is already on the iTunes Top 100 Reggae chart as preorder.
