This Saturday (March 22), Sun Nation will unleash Sunset Cocoa J'Ouvert at the Hope Gardens.

The high-energy event, which kicks off at 4 p.m., is atop the list for soca lovers.

According to Nasha Douglas, brand manager, Heineken (a major sponsor), the event will boast the best in entertainment with DJ Walshy Fire and soca artiste Lil Rick making the roster.

"This is a different kind of soca vibe with the best soca music as well as the inclusion of cocoa powder for the 'J'Ouverting' teams. Heineken is excited to be a part of the event as it will be one of the most exciting and fun filled ones for the season," Douglas said.

DJ Walshy Fire is a former member of the sound system, Black Chiney. He rose to fame after being recruited by International DJ/ producer, Diplo to be part of Major Lazer. The music of Major Lazer spans many genres, usually fusing reggae and dancehall with dance music like electro house.

Lil Rick, who is also billed for the event, is a well-known Bajan soca singer. He is famous for his non-stop hype on stage and enviable gyrations. He has copped many titles in the Crop Over Festival and has won Party Monarch and road march titles.

"At Heineken, we love premium, original and amazing events. This one bears all those characteristics, it's a perfect fit," she added.

Pepsi brand manager, Carla Hollingsworth, whose company is also a sponsor, commented that the event offers a different experience for soca fans.

"Carnival season is a great time to enjoy the revelry of soca and all the events, but it also provides a great opportunity to host unique events like this one where consumers can experience a different dimension," Hollingsworth said.

"Both Walshy Fire and Lil Rick are a welcomed addition to Sunset Cocoa J'Ouvert, they are very talented in what they do. Walshy has collaborated with Machel Montano, Busy Signal and Konshens, the new Pepsi Ambassador; while Lil Rich has worked with Allison Hinds and Iwer George, among others. I can't wait to see what they will infuse into the party on Saturday," she ended.
