16-y-o charged with housebreaking and larceny

A 16-year-old and an 18-year-old man were hauled before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday in connection with an incident in which several items from a dwelling were reported stolen.

Charged with receiving stolen property is Winston Brown who was fingerprinted, while the 16-year-old is charged with housebreaking and larceny.

The allegations are that one of the individuals entered the house and stole two gold chains, a Samsung camera, coins, a tablet, a Sony PlayStation and the sum of $50,000. All the stolen items totalled $150,000.

Both had their bails extended in court and are to return on May 6. A social-enquiry report was also ordered into the matter by Resident Magistrate Simone Wolfe-Reece.
