Third-place finisher in the 2008 Magnum Kings and Queen of Dancehall talent show, Tellah, has officially returned to the music industry and is currently focused on strengthening her musical career.

Tellah, whose name is Tracey-Ann Dawkins, said following the competition, her musical career had been on hold in order to watch her new-born daughter, as well as the rest of her other two children grow.

Tellah recounted that being in the competition five years ago was a great experience, which allowed her to grow as an artiste.

"It was a great experience, a very great experience. You meet people that you always see on television. It was also great exposure," the singer said.

She pointed out that her fairly new single titled, Mother's Cry, was gaining traction locally, being featured on CVM's E-strip Hit List and abroad on several other music charts.

"The video and everything is out. It reached number one in St Louis, Missouri. It's doing well all over the world. Since I released Mother's Cry everything changed and things have gotten better. I have shows coming up," the artiste, who signed with Pryceless Entertainment last year, said.

Tellah was featured on the St Catherine Jamboree last Saturday and was well received. She also pointed out that next month she will perform at an event in West Palm Beach, Florida. She is also promoting her latest single, Pretty Car Eye, and has plans to release an EP.

Tellah says she is focused on producing clean dancehall and reggae music as well as she is aware that her children as well as others will be listening.
