American pop group Dr Hook and rhythm and blues stars Glenn Jones and Dorothy Moore are the headliners for the 11th staging of the annual To Mom with Love concert series.

This year's event is scheduled to take place on Mothers' Day, Sunday, May 11 at the LIME Golf Academy in New Kingston.

The local acts billed to perform include Karen Smith, Pat Kelly, Gem Myers, Errol Dunkley and newcomers K-Coneil and Patrick Budoo.

According to Marvin Pitterson of Golden Promotions, this year's event will far exceed last year's staging in terms of entertainment value and excitement.

"Patrons can expect a bigger show than last year. It will be the first time that Dr Hook and Glenn Jones will be performing in Jamaica, and patrons will join them in singing their hits at the show," said Pitterson.

Dr Hook shot on to the scene in the early 1970's and burnt the charts with hits such as Sylvia's Mother, Love Line, Girls Can Get It, Years from Now and Sharing the Night Together.

Glenn Jones topped the Billboard Rhythm and Blues charts in the 1980s and early 1990s with songs such as We've Only Just Begun, Stay and Here I Go Again.

Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Dorothy Moore is best known for her signature tune, Misty Blue. Her other hits include I Believe You and Special Occasion.

The To Mom with Love concert series began 11 years ago. Tickets for this year's event will go on sale on April 30. Presold general $2,500 and $3,000 at the gate. VIP in advance will cost $4,500 and $5,000 at the gate. VVIP will cost $10,000.
