Ginjah looks forward to West Awards

Reggae singer Ginjah is looking forward to his upcoming performance at the second annual West Awards.

"It's my first time performing on the West Awards and I'm really looking forward to it. It's always a pleasure performing for my fans in the west. It's been a good time now since my last performance in that part of the country and I plan to make it a very exciting performance for people in Westmoreland," said Ginjah.

The West Awards will be held at Kokonut Grooves in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland, on April 6.

Ginjah is promoting a number of new releases including the controversial Insider aka Police Man Story, produced by fellow dancehall artiste Mr Vegas.

"This Insider song is the craziest thing right now, it's getting crazy airplay. Everywhere I go, people are telling me they love it. I hear that even the police officers are talking about it," he said.

Also on the cards for Ginjah is the release of his long-awaited album, Urge for Love.

"This album is going to surprise a lot of people, all the songs on it sound good. Its currently being mastered and will be ready for a summer release."
