Good reviews for Koddy's 'My Style'

Rebel Soulz recording artiste, Koddy, is generating a decent buzz in the dancehall-reggae world with her new single, 'My Style', where she deejays in her own unique blend of Japanese patois.

The Japanese beauty came to Jamaica earlier this year where she joined her label mate Beego Blood on the Trench Town Rock 2014 show on February 8.

"Everybody loves the My Style tune, and right now I am in the lab again working on an all - patois roots reggae song," she said. "Back in Japan, the sound men love it, I am getting dub requests. Rockers Channel, a major name in the biz, ran a story on my new release as well. And the mixtape gurus likeDJ Kenny will be running the tune on his mixes from now till beyond summer," she said

Koddy first showed up on the radar in Jamaica with her well-receivedPeace single, winning the hearts of local fans with her own brand of reggae soul. She was one of the standout artistes on the 6 East rhythm project for Rebel Soulz that also included big stars such as Lukie D, Tony Curtis, as well as up-and-coming talents such as Mason, Villa Dutch and Beego Blood.

Peace also popped up on various ethnic reggae charts in South Florida and Europe.

Koddy's career began in her hometown, Fukuoka, Japan, in 1999 where she started performing at local nightclubs and was immediately loved for her vibrant stage presence and loving interaction with the masses. She hopes to return to Jamaica soon to perform for her growing legion of fans.
