Rastafarian firebrand, Lutan Fyah, recently returned to Jamaica after a 27-gig, three-week tour in Europe to promote his 10th studio album, Life of a King.

"It was a successful tour with shows in Switzerland, France, Sweden, and Norway in Europe. After that, I went to Africa, where I did shows in the towns of Jakalo and Brikama in Gambia. The shows were held in football fields, and thousands were there," Lutan Fyah said.

The artiste said that the Gambians are "mad for dancehall and reggae".

"Everyone from Jamaica is big in Gambia. All artistes, mi a tell you from now, you have a show in Gambia. In that country, you have a duplicate for every dancehall and reggae artiste. When I was there, I met Gambian Octane, the Gambian Macka Diamond. Yuh have a lookalike and sound-a-like for almost every artiste," he said.

Lutan Fyah is booked to appear in at least 16 major reggae festivals on three continents for the rest of the year as he continues to promote the album.

Life of a King is a 13-track set which fuses reggae with other genres, including hip hop, R&B, and jazz. Released in September 2013, the album hit No. 4 on reggae iTunes when it was released.

He released a video for One Dice, one of the singles from the album, last month, and that video has been in steady rotation on local TV stations. He will shoot another video for the single, Bossman for Chiney K Productions, in New York in April.
