Tifa was t-e-r-r-i-f-i-c at Caymanas Park on Saturday, delighting racegoers in the third staging of the McKay Security Caymanas Live entertainment series.

The first female act to grace the Caymanas Park stage in the three-month-old series, Tifa had patrons singing along from her first stint midway the race programme and returned to close her set with a bang after the last event.

"It was pretty cool, better than I expected, a lot of patrons were singing along. A lot of them were screaming at me when I went upstairs during the intermission. The men, especially, I stopped to take pictures with them and gave away some of my promo T-shirts and stuff," she said.

Tifa said her versatility paid off as the Caymanas Park audience was a diverse one. "You have to be a performer to move that crowd," she said. "You have the different sections. People are in front of the stage, the stands and the skyboxes so you have to work the stage. I drew for some of my old songs and did a few covers like Walk Away From Love. I also did an Adele cover, so I catered for the older and younger folk in the audience, and they were all singing along."

The crowd wanted more and she delivered readily. "It's good, something to do other than betting on horses. It gives people something to look forward to apart from winning and losing. I believe it will bring people to Caymanas Park, people who do not normally go to the races," she added.
