With successful efforts to energise the way consumers enjoy beer during the week, beer giant, Red Stripe, officially launched Beer Wednesdays in 17 of its key bars and lounges in Kingston and Montego Bay in March.

According to Marsha Lumley, market transformation manager at Red Stripe, the idea is to engage consumers.

"From 12 to 12 each Wednesday, we will have bucket specials and giveaways at select outlets islandwide. Consumers already love our product, so we have decided to create a day that we believe all should partake in the camaraderie that enjoying a beer brings and the now new share- ability of the one-litre bottling," Lumley said.

A special visit was made to Gee Wee, The Deck, Tracks and Records, Triple Century, and Jo Jo's Jerk Pit by members of the brand team in an effort to excite the public about beer Wednesdays.

On Wednesday, March 26, the brand team visited Paula's Vybz Bar in Anchovy and Father Bull in Greenwood, St James, and will continue to tour the island in the coming weeks.

With emphasis being placed on driving this new drinking occasion, Red Stripe encourages customers to enjoy beer in any of these outlets while drinking responsibly.

At the outlets, there are $1,200 bucket deals, specials, and giveaways all day. Some outlets also create their own food specials for the consumers to make Beer Wednesdays even more enticing. Check in on an outlet nearest you, come Wednesday.
