The final Friday in the Mas Camp series is only a few hours away and Digicel, main sponsor of Bacchanal and leader in technology innovation, is leaving no stones unturned in ensuring that socaphiles have the experience of a lifetime.

With the expected scintillating performance from soca queen Destra, the telecommunications company said it will be 'lighting it up' at Mas Camp and uniting soca fans with colour through the use of xyloband technology.

Xylobands are radio-controlled LED wristbands which can be used to truly add life to an event. The lights inside the wristband will be controlled by a software program, which will send a signal to the wristband, instructing it to light up or blink in sync with the pulsating rhythm of the soca music.

Digicel is the first to introduce xylobands in Jamaica and Mas Camp will be the first time that it will used on such a large scale in the region. Each patron will receive a xyloband upon entry.

Tahnida Nunes, senior sponsorship manager at Digicel, explains: "When you think of music, technology and high-energy - think xyloband. Bacchanal is a staple in Jamaica and fans are looking for an experience each time they come out, and that is what this Friday will be all about..

Destra has made several posts to her Instagram account regarding the event. The soca superstar will be crooning hits such as Road Call, the video of which showcases the Jamaican 2013 carnival road march.

Director at Bacchanal Jamaica, Charmaine Franklin, said: "Digicel has been our partner since inception and brought innovation each year to their execution of their sponsored night. With Destra being the featured act for the night, it promises to be an awesome night with the partnership of Digicel, Destra and Bacchanal Jamaica - high-energy and a special night".

Other activities that patrons can look forward to from the telecommunications leader include lots of giveaways, text-to-win competitions, special handset discounts, and much more.
