Hefla Nyah releases 'Sky High'

Hefla Nyah

Fast-rising reggae artiste Hefla Nyah recently released a brand-new single titled Sky High.

The St Mary-born singer is confident that Sky High, which is the follow-up to his hard-hitting single titled Hungry will be a success.

"This is a very good song, I think it has the potential to be a hit because of its message. I always try my best to write songs that the people can relate to. This is a song that everyone can relate to because we are feeling the harsh economic pressures of the time, even the rich man is feeling it," said the artiste.

Sky High is currently enjoying strong rotation on a number of radio stations, including IRIE FM and HITZ 92 FM.

"The response to the song has been good so far, it is getting a lot of airplay and the people love it. Every time I touch the streets, people come up to me and tell me they love my music. A lot of them say they love the positive vibe in songs like Sky High and Hungry," said Hefla Nyah.

Sky High was produced by Roger Grant and Paul 'Wrong Move' Crossdale and released on the 619 Productions imprint, a part of the 619 Entertainment Music Group.

Also on the cards for Hefla Nyah is the release of a new single titled Beauty of Jah Plan, featuring Ivory Coast recording artiste, Mamakaffe.

"It was a joyful experience to record this song with Mamakaffe, she's a wonderful singer. It's in the final stages of production, so as soon as it is mixed and mastered, it will be released," he said.

Hefla Nyah has also been very busy doing the promotional rounds. During Reggae month, he appeared on a number of events, including the Bob Marley Birthday Bash in Negril and the Peter Tosh tribute in Belmont, Westmoreland. He also made an appearance on IRIE FM's popular entertainment show, The Buzz, during Reggae Month.
