Portland cops seek persons of interest

The Portland police are seeking help from the public in finding two men listed as persons of interest.

They are Tedroy Thomas, 24, from Campbell Avenue in Port Antonio, sought for questioning into the shooting death of Rushane Myers, 19, of Prospect Land Settlement on March 24; and Donville Thaxter, sought in connection with obtaining money by false pretence from a businesses in January.

Myers was found dead on a dirt track leading to his house with multiple gunshot wounds shortly after 11 p.m.

Superintendent Wayne Cameron, head of the Portland police, said: "We believe he (Thomas) can help us in moving the investigations forward."

Thaxter reportedly swindled a Portland businessman more than $250,000 on the premise that he is an agent of INDECOM, and that he was able to provide the businessman with a licensed firearm.

Persons knowing the whereabouts of Thomas and/or Thaxter are asked to call the Port Antonio police at 993-2546 and 993-2527, 119 or the nearest police station.
