Woman in Torrington Bridge crash identified

One of the two women who died following a motor vehicle accident on Slipe Road, Kingston, on Sunday, has been identified as 20-year-old Shauna-Kay Armstrong of Sheila Place, Queensborough, in the parish.

The women died after the motor vehicle in which they were travelling crashed into a utility pole.

The other woman, believed to be in her mid-20s, has not yet been identified.

Reports are that about 4 a.m., the two women were among occupants travelling in a Toyota Corolla motor car towards Torrington Bridge from the direction of Cross Roads.

The motor car reportedly developed mechanical problems before crashing into the utility pole.

The occupants of the motor vehicle were taken to hospital, where Armstrong and the other woman succumbed to their injuries and the others admitted in stable condition.
