"That was probably the best ever," said an elated Roy Fowl, after another successful staging of his annual and much-talked-about event, Hennessy Easter Jam-British Link Up.

The event, held at Boat Dock at 2b Port Royal Street, downtown Kingston, was celebrating its 20 years of existence - an indication of the vast popularity and success of Roy Fowl, who is also called Father Fowl.

Hennessy, currently the most coveted alcohol in several key dancehall circles, again proved to be the right partners, according to Fowl. A 30-second, balloon-popping show was also on the cards as part of the night's entertainment.

And, as the crowd grew, the quality of musical selections got better with the likes of Foota Hype, Chris Dymond, Stone Love's Dwayne Pow, Boom Boom and DJ British delivering splendid sets, under the strict hosting duties of the beautiful Camala Latouche.

So crammed was the event, that most female patrons began to find it difficult to manoeuvre space as they attempt to dance to some of the current hits today.

The British Link Up parties are renowned for their 'hype' and as such, many would expect the would-be 'high rollers' to roll out in their numbers flaunting either their attires or tables, which would include 'top shelf' liquors such as Hennessy, Moet and Chandon.

As usual, the party went way into the wee hours - the rising sun was not even an issue. Several music celebrities also graced the venue, making full use of the exquisite-looking Hennessy VIP area.

Long after proceedings had ended, there were some patrons lurking around, presumably still soaking up residue from an exciting outing. Occasion 21 will be an even bigger experience, promised Fowl.
