Bugle's 'Anointed' to drop May 6

He has built up an enviable reputation in music circles over the past few years as a talented songwriter, recording artiste and performer.

Dancehall/reggae artiste Bugle has culled his years of hard work into what will be his debut album, which is due for release on May 6.

Titled Anointed, the album is being released by Daseca Productions and Zojak World Wide LLC.

In a release to the media, Bugle spoke about the 16-track album and what fans can expect.

"Anointed is a concept album, deep and positive with social commentary at its best, of course. For me to be putting out an album is already an accomplishment, as long as the fans accept my work and enjoy it as much as I do, then I will be excited. So it's just for people to have a hard copy of my work on another level, because this is growth in whichever way you want to look at it," said Bugle.

Describing the process of putting together the album as a long but rewarding one, Bugle said he is happy with the finished product.

"Months of hard work, night and day, writing, recording and mixing. It was a long process, but I am happy with the outcome," Bugle confided.

A number of high-powered producers contributed their talents to Anointed. Among the artistes who collaborated with Bugle on the album are Alaine, Lady Saw, Julian Marley, Popcaan, Tarrus Riley, and I-Octane.

The official launch will take place on Thursday, May 8 at Hope Gardens, Kingston. Anointed is already off to a good start thanks to two number-one singles, Nuh Compatible, which topped the local charts for multiple weeks last year; and Infidelity, which features Lady Saw.
