After years of recording cultural songs that highlight his commitment to Rastafari and conscious living reggae singer Prince Theo has flipped the script.

The St Thomas-based singer recently cracked the Top 10 of the Jamaica Music Countdown top 25 Reggae Singles Chart with a beautiful love ballad titled I'm Missing You. The single which was produced by Michael Coburn and released on his Reggae Vibes Productions imprint last December, is currently in the number-nine position on the chart.

"Sometimes it's good to make a change, you have to be versatile to make it in the music biz. Although I have mainly recorded what people call conscious songs or social commentary, I am also capable of writing about other topics. I'm Missing You, is just another side of Prince Theo, I am happy the people love this song, and I will record more love songs in the future."

Determined to build on the success of I'm Missing You, Prince Theo and his management team have stepped up the promotion of the single.

"We have been doing a lot of work to push this song since it was released late last year. We are not easing up because we want it to be a big hit," he said.

Also on the cards for the easy-going Rastafarian is an album that is being produced by Michael Coburn.
