Social enquiry report ordered in robbery case

A social enquiry report was ordered in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday in a matter in which a woman allegedly robbed two people in downtown Kingston.

Charged with larceny from the person, robbery with aggravation and conspiracy to rob is 20-year-old Kinjah Hartley.

The court heard that on April 26, both complainants were walking in the Coronation Market when they were separated.

It is alleged that Hartley and an 'Indian' man robbed the male complainant of a chain, and several minutes later Hartley allegedly robbed the woman of a gold necklace.

The matter is to return to court on May 29 at which point it is expected that the social-enquiry report will be completed.
