QQ sets to ignite St Maarten Carnival

QQ

Dancehall artiste QQ is heading to St Maarten for what is expected to be an explosive performance today at the International Show Reggae, which forms part of the St Maarten Carnival celebrations.

According to QQ, "This is my first time in St Maarten, and the fans are in for a treat. They can expect to hear the hits that QQ is known for and much more."

QQ, whose real name is Kareem Dawkins, has been riding a musical tidal wave in recent times. He has rocked the dancehall with songs such as Ghetto Gal, Mosquito Dance and the chart-topping multiple-nominated hit One Drop.

Last Saturday night, QQ delivered a knockout performance at the LIME-promoted free barbeque Epic Event at the Denbigh High School in Clarendon. The deejay reeled off hits including Stookie, One Drop, Skip To Ma Lue and Tek It To Dem (Rum Ram).

Prior to his show-stealing set at Denbigh High, QQ performed in Belize, Panama, Mexico and Guyana.

QQ's latest singles include Raise Your Bumper (produced by ZJ Chrome); Jack Hammer (produced by QG/BMT); and Fi Di Gal Dem (produced by QG Production).
