Reggae artiste Ifertari has released an 11-song mixtape dubbed 'Keep Shining' as she works hard to fine-tune her Afro-Caribbean brand.

The mixtape, which features singles such as Keep Shining, Black Skin and Mi Need Yu, is generating a lot of interest in the rastafarian community in Jamaica.

"The mixtape has been getting great reviews so far, especially the title track, Keep Shining, and because of the positive lyrics I write, some well-known entertainment insiders took notice and offered me a TV show on BOJ TV, to host a 30-minute top 10 music countdown show. They are also looking at doing a reality show based on my musical journey," she said.

The top 10 countdown show will begin this month with pre-recorded episodes, and will air on BOJ TV once a week, with repeats on designated days. Ifertari will also kick off her 'Keep Shining' promotional tour in The Bahamas on May 4 and, from there, the tour winds its way through Caribbean islands such as Barbados, Antigua, and Dominica.

Earlier this year, she generated considerable buzz for Black Skin, which has received considerable support from FM radio, especially during Black History Month celebrations.

The song was released in November last year, and did well in the Caribbean and the African diaspora. She has performed at venues all across the island, especially Portmore where she has carved out a strong underground following.
