Tropicana Tropics has signed on as the title sponsor for the annual Mother's Day concert, 'To Mom with Love' set to take place at the Lime Golf Academy on Sunday, May 11, 2014.

The event, which is being presented by Golden Promotions Limited, is Jamaica's most successful Mother's Day event series, with an average attendance of 5,000 patrons.

Now in its 11th year, organisers are planning an amazing night of entertainment and good vibes.

According to Cornelia Nathan, brand manager for non-carbonated beverages at Pepsi Jamaica, Tropicana Tropics targets driven, hardworking individuals with the time to enjoy themselves and share with their loved ones and family. These are significant qualities of the patrons who attend the yearly staging of this Mother's Day event.

"Tropicana Tropics is the perfect fit for the concert 'To Mom with Love', because the brand is seen as a healthier-choice beverage, low in sodium, and targets mothers. It also represents family, fun and enjoying life, all the charateristics of the show," Nathan said.

The headliners for this staging include We've only Just Begun singer Glen Jones, American pop group Dr Hook, and Dorothy Moore.

Dr Hook shot on to the scene in the early 1970s and burnt the charts with hits such as Sylvia's Mother, Love Line, Girls Can Get It, Years From Now and Sharing the Night Together.

Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Dorothy Moore is best known for her signature tune, Misty Blue. Her other hits include I Believe You and Special Occasion.

Other acts include Jamaica songbirds Karen Smith and Gem Myers, Errol Dunkley, Pat Kelly, KConeil and Tahj.

As title sponsor, Tropicana Tropics will be offering great deals to its customers.

With the purchase of one 2L or three 20oz bottles of Tropicana, consumers will get a discount of $500 off ticket purchases (General, VIP, VVIP) with receipt at participating stores - (Michi, Petcom Dunrobin, Mary Brown's Liquor (Mary Brown's Corner and Stony Hill).

Marvin Pitterson of Golden Promotions says this year's event will far exceed last year's staging in terms of entertainment value and excitement.

"We are happy to have Tropicana Tropics on board. We are working to ensure that patrons get a bigger and better show than last year. It will be the first time that Dr Hook and Glenn Jones will be performing in Jamaica, and patrons will join them in singing their hits at the show," said Pitterson.
