Vibes galore at 'Club May Daze'

Although it was not the usual high turnout expected at a May Daze party, there was still no doubt in the minds of patrons that the much loved May party series is back!

At 1 a.m., when The STAR team arrived, scores of patrons were seen getting busy on the dance floor in usual May Daze high energy style.

DJ Zagga and DJ Famous from Infuzion Sound fed the energy with selections like Ajrenalin's Gwaan Bad and Vybz Kartel's Wickedest Riddim, causing females to get on bad on the dance floor.

However, songs like Drunk In Love by Beyoncé and Dark Horse by Katy Perry, really got the party swinging, as patrons flocked to the middle to let loose and have a good time.

At 2 a.m., DJ Maestro took over on the turntables, and he had patrons singing along to songs like Differentology by Bunji Garlin and Rolly Polly by Mr Killa. The DJ then transitioned into a slew of dancehall hits which included a catalogue of Vybz Kartel and Alkaline songs which were clearly pleasing to the females, as they got busy with any man that was in close proximity.

"May Daze never, ever disappoints," a female patron said, "I was a bit sceptic of the club thing, but trust me, it is the same May Daze vibe, I love it."

The promoters, however, confessed that many patrons complained about the high cost of the alcohol, but The STAR was assured that they have worked out a deal with Quad to provide drink specials going forward.

The promoters also assured that patrons would be pleased with the changes.

May Daze continues tomorrow night at the Quad, New Kingston.
